Fulgurite

Fulgurites, also known as fossilized lightning, are naturally formed sedimentary tubes caused from lightning discharging into the ground. This occurs when lightning strikes in sandy areas.

Although lightning strikes hit the Earth countless times on a daily basis, fulgurites are rare specimens to encounter.
