Anatase and titanite are distinct minerals, although they can be found together in places such as in veins within certain rocks. Anatase is one of three mineral forms of titanium dioxide, known for its tetragonal crystal structure, while titanite (also called sphene) is a separate mineral with its own chemical formula.
