 The amber on the necklace contains an analgesic that helps relieve your child from growth pain when it is released into the bloodstream by wearing the necklace, not chewing! Teething necklaces are made of Baltic Amber; in theory when a baby wears a teething necklace, their body heat triggers the release of a minute amount of oil that contains succinic acid, a naturally-occurring substance in the body. When the oil is absorbed it has an analgesic effect for pain relief.   Warning! Active supervision is required at all times for children wearing Amber Teething Necklaces. Our necklaces are made for wearing, and are NOT designed for children to chew or put into the mouth, nose or ears. All jewellery should be removed from children when they are unattended, active adult supervision is required at all times. Ensure you regularly check Amber jewellery for cracks or breaks in beads that could cause sharp edges.
