Herkimer Diamonds get their name from Herkimer County in New York, USA, where they were first discovered in the late 1700's.

Similar Crystals are also found in Tibet and Afganistan and are also sometimes referred to as "Herkimer Diamonds". We also stock "Chinese Herkimers".

Herkimers are known for their extreme clarity.
